ArtsWorcester, an art association in Worcester, MA, hosts and annual event entitled "Art on the Line," which is an art sale to benefit the association. As a member, I was invited to participate by contributing four small works of art to be sold at the event. A preview of the work that I donated for ArtsWorcester: Art On the Line can be seen in the image above. They are 8"x 8" pieces, done in a mix of watercolor, pen, pencil and acrylic on paper.
The event takes place on Friday, October 4, at the Aurora Gallery in downtown Worcester. Myself, along with other local artists, photographers, and designers, have created and donated 200 8x8" works on paper specifically for this event. The squares will be suspended in ArtsWorcester’s upper gallery, and sold on the spot for $20 each. All proceeds will help keep the gallery exhibits free and open to the public.
The event begins with a preview at 6 PM for "First In Line" ticket holders. "First in Line" tickets are $35 each, and come with first choice of the artworks and a complimentary glass of wine. At 7 PM, the doors will open to the general public for a suggested donation of $5. No artwork will be sold before 6 PM, and the sale ends at 8 PM.
